Free Home Improvements For The Elderly Of Sioux Falls, SD That Qualify!

Every year, the Home Builders Association of the Sioux Empire (HBASE) sponsors a community service program called the HBASE Repair Affair.

This program provides free home improvements to meet the accessibility needs for residents of Sioux Falls, SD who are at least 65 years old or permanently disabled and meet income requirements.

Examples of past home improvements include:
  • Wheelchair ramps

  • Widening doors or openings for wheelchair accessibility

  • Handrails and grab bars.


  • HBASE provides the volunteers for the labor and the materials are paid for by a grant from the Sioux Falls Community Development.
