| Easter Seals South Dakota Recycle for Life Program | | Easter Seals South Dakota recognized a need for developing a medical equipment recycling service to address the problem of tons of used medical equipment that end up in landfills each year that could otherwise be refurbished and reused. Many elderly people living with physical challenges do not have the financial resources available to purchase equipment they need that would improve their quality of life.
There are no income guidelines for this program; however, it is intended to be used by people who do not have the financial resources.
Most of the people served are those on Medicare, or people who do not have insurance.
Unless there is an urgent need or emergency, it takes about 10-15 days to process the application.
There are several donation/redistribution sites located throughout the state.
For an application or more information, call Easter Seals South Dakota at 1-800-592-1852.
