Remove scatter rugs - if not, make sure they have rubber backing material adhered to the back of the rug to keep the rug from slipping and causing a fall. Remember to use enough rubber material to keep the edges of the rug down to avoid tripping over it.
Keep pathways clear for easier mobility
Make sure there is adequate lighting in the entryway/hallways
